“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.”
― John Muir
I think most of the Swiss citizens (and pretty much all Asian tourists visiting) have heard about the Jungfraujoch, the Top of Europe as it’s popularly called. But there is more to this region than just having the highest train station in Europe. There are three more reasons to visit this particular part of Switzerland with the famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Let me tell you – it’s amazing in summer as you might have seen from previous articles – but winter is definitely the prettier season and offers a very attractive ski destination! And if that wasn’t convincing enough, this season Skipass has a very special action called ‘Skipass‘!
It’s actually an amazing opportunity to book your Hotel and then you’ll get the Skipass on top for unlimited snow fun – sledging, skiing, walking, relaxing, sunbathing – you name it. You can get best quality hotels, amazing views on the snowy mountains and 200 kilometres of great slopes.
As I grew up in the mountains I feel so refreshed and happy above the fog in the valleys. And it’s not only me – you can see and feel that the people are relaxed, in a good mood and leaving their stress and problems at home.
We spent the days in the Art Nouveau style Hotel Belvedere where we could barely believe the breath-taking view. Literally a great location and not far from the train station and ski lifts. And the charming staff provided us with all the necessary information plus the breakfast buffet was just the best way to start our pretty active days on the slopes.
“Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the sea, are excellent schoolmasters, and teach some of us more than we can ever learn from books.”
