“Sometimes, things may not go your way, but the effort should be there every single night.” – Michael Jordan
Oh hello my lovelies!
It feels like an eternity since I logged on my blog again. What a shame though… Actually I still have so many photos to share. Ok and these ones as you might guess from the green leaves are a few weeks back 😛 But nonetheless I love to wear this exact dress underneath a coat. And adding some lovely jewelry makes me so happy.
But baking cookies from morning to night for a whole week and then crazy study-days for the first exam are rather mind, body and time consuming… But as long as you feel happy with what you do it’s good. What I realized however, that this last month of 2016 will be busy and fully of deadlines. However, I’d love to still make time for fun things! This leads to the goal not to be messy and plan beforehand! Therefore, I’d love to share 5 tips to be productive and have clear mind 🙂
Take time to meditate or do Yoga
Ok, I have a deadline tomorrow and you want me to sit and breath for fifteen minutes? Yes, I do. Your brain is a muscle that needs to be exercised. Practicing mindfulness can actually increase your brain’s ability to lock down on a task and fully focus. Not only will you find concentrating easier but you will actually do better work. Don’t let your brain tell you that these fifteen minutes are a waist!
Create a dreamy workspace
Your environment plays a huge part in your brain’s ability to focus. Create a workspace that inspires not one that distracts. Plug into a focus playlist on Spotify, light an energizing candle and add flowers and plants to reduce stress and increase productivity. At the moment I love to study at home instead of exposing myself to the library students stress 😛 Furthermore, I am super productive when in the train, haha seriously!
Tackle big tasks in the morning
We are simply able to focus better on our tasks in the morning. Maximize on the power of the early hours by taking on your ‘big’ tasks early on. To keep your focus steady throughout the day and avoid flagging, dodge multi-tasking, take regular breaks, and plan rewards for your hard-working self.
If you want to improve your focus, as well as increase your memory and your problem-solving abilities – hydrate. It really is that easy. Keep a large bottle on your desk and add a few tasty fruits to infuse your water or make a warm can of tea to stay focused.
In an age of distractions, a girl’s got to give herself every chance of staying focused. Close down emails and turn off notifications or sign out of social accounts (I’ve turned off my Whatsapp and Instagram notification and sometimes I really forget to even look at my phone).
What are your tips to reduce December stress and stay productive? Let me know in the comments!
