A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken. ~James Dent
We definitely do not want to start this week with a bad attitude or Monday Blues, right?! Therefore, even though the week might already be fully booked with appointments and meetings, you should take some time and rethink some of your habits. And as we are already soon at coming to the end of summer, why not make the most of the last (super hot) days and enjoy some more summer activities?
Lets start back now: How many times is a friendly “how are you?” responded to with a sigh and answer of busy, swamped or tired. How many times have you responded that way? If I am honest, far too many times. Of course, I like to be busy. I crave it, in fact. I enjoy making my mile long to-do list and blissfully checking off each item as I put myself to work. Yet at what point does it become too much? I have been thinking a lot lately about the reality that we only have one life to live. We have the ability to craft and mold it in any way we like, under our individual circumstances. So, is this really how I want to spend it?
No! I want to be able to take some time out for myself too. Just possibly sitting in the sun and doing nothing but enjoy or at least sense the feeling of ‘being’. Social Media is a big stress factor nowadays in my opinion and probably even more when you are connected to the world with a Social Media accounts like Blog, Instragram, Youtube etc. The urge wo compare and being available is increasing lately. But I believe to really enjoy yourself and do whatever you want like a free spirit, this definitely includes real experiences with friend or alone in the present.
Here is a late summer bucket list with 12 things you definitely should plan or take time this week and make the most of the last warm sun streams:
What do you think? What are the things you want to do on these late summer days? How do you experience the free spirit? Let me know 🙂
