On another day, we explored Miami Beach a bit more in depth. First we visited the Holocaust Memorial which is a breathtaking Memorial, dedicated to the annihilation of millions of Juwsduring the Nazi Germany. It’s a very sad place and I got goose-pimples as the atmosphere is very impressive when you get there. After that we planned to visit the Botanical Garden but however it was unbearable hot and the green area was full of mosquitoes so that we had to leave soon. For a refreshment (Starbucks of course), sweets and window shopping we walked to lincoln road.
After the short break, we jumped into our car and drove to the bayfront park and bayside harbor. There we strolled along the marketplace and then we took a boat tour. It’s a really touristy thing but after the heat this was a perfect change. And furthermore the skyline from the boat was breathtaking. The 90 minute cruise along the small islands in front of Miami Beach was really fun as we also saw so many beautiful vacation houses of stars. We imagined owning one of those houses with private sea access and swimming pool…. 😉
